Description

This Kato EMD SD70M with flared radiators is based on units in service from coast to coast since the 1990s. This ready-to-run, standard DC diesel features a five-pole motor with dual flywheels, directional LED headlights, highly detailed body, great decoration and Kato knuckle couplers. This version of the SD70M features flared rear radiators used on laterer-production units. These locomotives will be at home on the head end of your railroad’s late-1990s and later freight consists. This standard DC unit features a lighting control board that can be swapped for a DCC decoder when you’re ready (available separately). This EMD SD70M is one of many Kato N Scale diesel locomotives.
