Description
This Kato HO Scale EMD SD40-2 Early Production is based on locomotives beginning in 1972. The EMD SD40-2 went on to become the most popular EMD road locomotive with over 3,900 constructed. This model is based on early production units. Features of this diesel includes a detailed, injection-molded body, five-pole motor with dual flywheels, all-wheel electrical pickup, heavy die cast metal chassis, fine decoration, directional LED headlights and Kato magnetic knuckle couplers. This EMD SD40-2 is equipped with an ESU LokSound and DCC decoder for realistic sound and control. This SD40-2 is one of many Kato HO diesel locomotives.
